No numbers exist in the physical world, rational or not. Number is an abstraction, an illusion created by a working brain. Outside of our heads there are no numbers. Also no points, no lines, no triangles, etc etc.
However the are real things that correspond to our ideal constructs.
Like -pairs- of socks. And half-dozen egg packages.
