Characteristics of cymose inflorescence are......

1) I'm cymose type of inflorescence the main axis terminates in a flower, hence the growth is limited .

2) The flowers are borne in a Basipetal succession.

3) At the Apex the flower is the oldest and the flower away from the Apex is the youngest.

4) It is a branched type of inflorescence.

Example of a cymose inflorescence is - Red campion.
