The Moon appears changes shape according to how much of it you can see (as long as it’s not cloudy!) and that depends on how much of the bit you can see is facing the Sun. The Sun’s light reflects off the Moon enabling you to see it.

Answer:
Obviously NO
Explanation:
The moon doesn't have any light of its own it reflects the light of the sun,but some time the earth comes in between the moon and the sun, covering the light falling on moon fully(eclipse) or partially.
since there is no light falling on the part of the moon covered by earths shadow we can't see that part making us feel that that the part of moon is dissapeared but wheras in reality its just not visible to the naked eye.
