The author of this poem is 'Coates Kinny'.
The poet tells us about his love toward the nature. Through this poem, the author gives us the message that rain has powers of healing. And that it forms an eternal memory in the minds of the humans. It helps us to relive our memories which happened in the past times.
No, according to the poet the rain does not seem to be pleasing for some people and animals. It is because some people who do not have house has to live in the railway platforms or at the bus stops.
Also, many animals do not have shelter to stay. Sometimes, they keep on trembling in dark during the rainy seasons.
The rain does not appear to be pleasing for all. People who don’t have proper places to live in, particularly feel lots of inconvenience on account of rains. People living in makeshift huts get flooded. The ceilings begin to leak. Similarly, animals also face lots of inconvenience on account of rains.
Sporadic or light rains bring relief for everyone, especially after a spell of summer heat. However, incessant downpour causes troubles to all. Rivers swell and plains are flooded. Animals die in such floods. People living in low areas have to move to safer places.
I like moderate amount of rain as it gives life to all living beings. I love eating hot pakoras, samosas, and other delicious dishes.
In conclusion it can be said, rains are not pleasing for everyone.
