It totally depends on father. Because male chromosomes are XY and females are XX. The pairing of XX causes baby girl and pairing of XY causes baby boy. X is common. It is Y which decides the sex of baby

The sex of the child is the matter of chances .both male and female has 50%chances for the detemination of sex of the child.both the parents are equally responsible for the sex of the chilD.this could be understood through following criss cros,
