Does the size of the cells differ from living organisms

It often does. For example, say human has long nerve cells. But even longer are of those larger beings than a human. It would need a really gigantic nerve cell to connect a part of a whale's body to its brain, wouldn't it? Also, skin cells differ in sizes and shapes throughout the animal and the plant kingdom.
