Yes dear,

Surface area of an object affects the rate of heat being transferred, emitted or absorbed.

In freezing ,thermal energy is being lost.

If u pour some water in a glass and put it in a freezer and at the same time pour some water in a larger bowl and also put that in a freezer,u will notice after sometime that in this period of time the water in the glass has frozen whereas the water in the bowl is still a bit in liquid form. This is bcuz of the difference in surface areas. Bowl water, having a greater surface area freezes slowly and opposite is the case with the glass water which freezes quickly or ghastly than the bowl water due to a lesser or smaller surface area.

HOPE IT HELPS UH!

HAVE A GREAT DAY AHEAD«««
