1) the temperature of water does not rise continuously if heat is supplied to it.
2) when it reaches its boiling point (100 deg celcius) the temperature remains constant for some time.
3) because the supplied heat energy will be used for breaking bonds and impurities present in it.
4) after this, the phase changes (may be from ice to water or from water to vapour.)

No, the temp. does not rise.after reaching at 100* C . Becoz, it it max. point at which the water boils .. after that..is states changes and it forms steam.
