Does the valency of a non-metal decrease when reacting with a metal?
(P.S. Does the question even make sense? :P) (Sorry for silly questions)

metal gives electrons and non metals accept electrons ,, as they already have valence,, the accept electrons to make them stable or to form compounds. the additional electrons just add with or remove from the valence electrons to make outer shell stable. So I don't think valency changes in non metals. the valency always remains the same. #hope it helps #mark as brainliest pls
