The value of acceleration due to gravity (g) does not depend upon the mass of the body.

Acceleration due to gravity (g) varies based on:

→ Height- Acceleration due to gravity (g) decreases with the increase in height of an object and the value of g becomes zero at infinite distance from the earth.

→ Depth- Decreases the value of g when depth is increses.it is zero at the centre of the earth.

→ Shape of the earth - Value of g is more at equator and less at poles.
