does usb drive get heavier as you store more files in it?​

Believe it or not, they get lighter. USB drives use Flash memory, which means the the ones and zeros of your data are stored on transistors. ... This means that an empty USB drive (which mostly holds zeros) weighs more than a full USB drive (which has ones and zeros). Add data, reduce the weight.

I think you are not talking about usb, as it does not store file. The work of usb is to connect two devices, so that they can share files, internet connection, etc etc...

If you are talking about pendrive, then my answer is yes. Pendrive has a certain storage like 8 gb or 12 gb or more and once this space is used up, then pendrive cannot store more files. It is same with computer hard disk.
