  • the small container with tap water.
  • Using the electrical wires, connect the LED light and batteries to build an open simple circuit (a circuit with an open end).
  • Dip the two open ends into the water.
  • Now, repeat the experiment using the exact same setup, but this time, instead of using tap water, use distilled water.
  • Using tap water, you should be able to complete the circuit and the LED bulb lights up.Using distilled water, however, does not complete the circuit and the LED bulb should not light up.However, if yours does, that means the “distilled water” used is not pureenough.Try a different brand of bottle distilled water or make your own.

hope it will help you

Answer: i hope it helps u

Explanation: To show by an activity conductivity of electricity in distilled water and salt water.

Materials Required : Distilled water, Tester, Common Salt.

Procedure : Take a two tablespoonfuls of distilled water in clean and dry rubber cap of bottle. With the help of tester test that distilled water conduct electricity or not. Now dissolve a pinch of common salt in distilled water. Now test again conductivity of electricity.

Observation : We see that distilled water does not conduct electricity while salt solution do.

Conclusion : Distilled water do not contains salt, so it does not conduct electricity. Water having salt conduct electricity due to presence of salt in it.
