Hey mate here is your answer⤵⤵

The scientific definition of work reveals its relationship to energy—whenever work is done, energy is transferred. For work, in the scientific sense, to be done, a force must be exerted and there must be displacement in the direction of the force.

As we know that, w = fs where s is the displacement and displacement is a vector quantity which has both direction and magnitude. But the work is scaler quantity which has only magnitude only, from this we can say that work has no direction

lovebook: but if the force acting on the given body is negative ,, then the work done will also be negative naa??
