An artwork may or may not convey the idea behind it clearly to the one observing it.
- Most of the great artworks, though have been recognized widely for conveying a specific idea, are open to the interpretation of the observer/admirer.
- A lot of factors come into play while interpreting an artwork like the real idea behind it, if the artist really wanted to reveal the idea, or did the artist even made the art with a specific idea in his mind.
- The real idea behind an artwork can only be described by the artist who made it originally. While some artists like to give out enough hints in their art for people to understand, there are others who like to keep their art open to interpretation.
- That is the real beauty of art that one can have a totally different perspective about art while others might have the opposite. It also depends on the emotions the admirer is going through and can interpret it completely differently the next time he sees it.
