Answer:

( - ∞ , 1 ) ∪ ( 3 , ∞ )

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to find domain of given function :

f ( x ) = ( x - 1 ) / ( x - 3 ) > 0

= > ( x - 1 ) / ( x - 3 ) > 0

For critical point :

= > x - 1 = 0

= > x = 1

= > x - 3 = 0

= > x = 3

When we plot it on number line we need portion greater than zero!

i.e. which of positive sign :

Domain = ( - ∞ , 1 ) ∪ ( 3 , ∞ )

Hence we get required answer!
