Answer:

(i) If it is a cubic equation then it's zeroes are alpha and beta. Sum of zeroes is -b/a. So alpha plus beta is -b divided by a.

(ii) Alpha, beta and gamma are the Greek letters used in mathematics to denote the constant values such as the roots of polynomials

(iii). By algebraic identity, (a-b)² = (a+b)² - 4ab.

Using this, (α - β)² = (α + β)² - 4αβ

This shows that α - β = √(α + β)² - 4αβ

(iv) Cubic Polynomial – Degree = 3

The graph of cubic equation is also a curve having 2 turns and cutting the x axis at 3 points. These 3 points of intersection are known as the roots of the cubic equation. There are three roots of a cubic equation given by α (Alpha), β (Beta) and γ (Gamma).
