Answer the following questions in relation to them:

(a) Among silver and copper which one is better conductor? Why?

answer no 1 :-

Silver is the better conductor because it has more free electrons in it than copper. It is also because copper has a resistivity of 1.7 X 10-8 ohms, whereas silver has a lower resistivity at 1.6 X 10-8 ohms

answer no 2 :-

Nichrome is the best material for heating elements. It is because the resistivity of the nichrome is more than the resistivities of the metals used to make it and it does not oxidise at higher temperature. Nichrome should be used because 1. high resistivity (high resistance - more heat because of joules law)
