\bold{\LARGE{\underline{\underline{Question:–}}}}

A fruit-seller bought bananas at the rate of 3 for ₹ 8 and sold them at the rate of 2 for ₹ 7.

Find his gain or loss per cent.

\bold{\LARGE{\underline{\underline{Answer:–}}}}

Gain % = 31.25%

___________________________

Given :

  • C.P (cost price) of 3 bananas = 8
  • S.P (selling price) of 2 bananas = 7
  • Find gain or loss

.

\bold{\LARGE{\underline{\underline{Explanation:–}}}}

C.P of one banana = 8/3

S.P of one banana = 7/2

Gain = S.P C.P

So, \frac{7}{2}\: -\:\frac{8}{3}

\Longrightarrow\:\frac{21\: - \:16}{6}

\Longrightarrow\:₹\frac{5}{6}

.

Please refer to the attachment pic for the solution to find the gain %
