Why should we not use an elevator during an earthquake?
There is a good chance that the erratic movement associated with an earthquake would cause the emergency brakes to be applied.
Once that happens the car is stuck there until an elevator technician can come and service them.
It may be possible to escape from the car in the meantime if you know a little about elevators, if not then you would have to wait for either the elevator technician or the fire department to get you out. After a major earthquake that could be a long wait.
That would be my only concern, there is virtually no chance the elevator could fall.
PLEASE MRK ME BRAINLIEST IF IT IS HELPFUL....

Answer:
During an earthquake, we should not use lift because if the earthquake is too strong on the Ritcher’s scale, it may cut the power. Due to this, you might get trapped inside the lift for an uncertain period of time, till it is reconnected. Thus, it is better to avoid it before and after the shocks.
