Speech in morning assembly:

Respected Principal and Teachers and My Dear Friends,

We all are aware that Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is no more with us, and that is a matter of brief sadness however what is sadder is that he shared a dream with us and he is no more to complete it. We must try to fulfill his dream. A secure friendship or association with a specific group of people is important. It is necessary. If children feel a sense of belonging and sense their parents, cultures and communities as members and feel a sense of pride they can be emotionally strong, positive and are able to accept people from other caste, creed and religion.

Education is very critical for national and emotional integration. It's a versatile tool that can be used to achieve our national understanding effectively. Education is a weapon that can achieve many of the goals of the nation and of the entire world. Academics and education policies should also focus on social peace, ideals and the environment. The government-recognized education institutions should not discriminate under the name caste, origin, gender, faith, religion, and so on. Youth's ignited minds are the world's greatest asset. I am sure the power of young people will bring transformed humanity, if properly directed, by meeting their challenges and bringing peace and prosperity.

Peace involves different nations working together to accomplish a common purpose instead of battling each other. Technology is intended to improve the state of the human race in a humanly acceptable way. I firmly believe that fundamental science research really gives humanity a sense of peace. You look into the spectacular night-life, look at the stars, and your mind's are suddenly filled with all these deep questions around the universe. I am sure everyone here today has this experience. The awe of the beautiful world simply disappears in culture, colour, origin, language, gender, ideology and religion. We all live on a small piece of rock known as the planet Earth which circles round an average star known as the Sun, 27,000 light years far from the centre of the Milky Way galaxy, which is only one out of a 100 billion galaxies in this noticeable universe. Our differences seem very tiny if you look at the big picture.

This perspective gives me a different impression of all the wars, tragedies, conflicts, diseases and poverty that we read in daily journals. There must be a way for us, human species, to work together on this small rock; this fundamental science brings people from all nations together. I also believe it is important to cultivate the search for understanding and the fascination with the mysteries of the universe. This is because kids are excited to learn more about science because of the obsession with stars and planets and outside space. It leads to a better educated and scientifically-oriented population if we nurture their curiosity correctly. Scientific knowledge for all people is needed to raise the living standards. We must require a national system of education that will assist in building a generation of young women and men who are committed to secularism and infused with patriotic fervour, fully developed vitally, physically, spiritually and mentally, and committed the services of their sisters and brothers irrespective of caste, creed, and religion.

No community must be kept over and above nation. The issue of diversity was accepted by India as a democratic approach. Democracy permits and regard regional aspirations and do not see it as anti-national political expressions. Therefore, democratic politics permits parties and associations to approach people based on their regional identity, interests, aspirations and regional specific concerns. As a result, national interests and regional interpretations are enhanced in the context of democratic politics. At the same time, democratic politics will also mean sufficient attention and accommodation of regional issues and problems in the political process.

Thank You .
