Respected colleagues and honorable members of this organization,

We are all gathered here today to wish our beloved friend well on his journey ahead in life. Mr. Rao Hashmi is retiring today from our firm. He has spent 25 years of excellence in this research and development department. He has contributed a major chunk of his life to our firm. I am especially grateful for his deeds for he has been my lab partner for the past 12 years. I am getting a bit teary at bidding him farewell but I know that he deserves this retirement as he has worked too long.

Let us all wish him a good luck and give him the floor for a few words.
