Good evening... I am Theresa Sanders for BBC news. At the moment, our team is standing in front of La Villette Gas Works, Paris. You can see behind me there is a huge crowd of approximately 300 people. They have arrived to witness this mesmerising event, that is, the place where Le Horla, the hot air balloon, is all set to take off. The crowd is boisterous and the passengers Captain Jovis, Lieutenant Mallet, Mr. Guy de Maupassant and three others are all set for the ride. You can see their excitement. They are taking edibles, barometers, overcoats, raincoats, two trumpets, and siren with them. As we can see, a huge balloon that is lying in the yard and it resembles a cake made of yellow cloth! The words 'LE HORLA' is inscribed in golden letters on a mahogany plate in the basket.
You can see that the gas is being filled in the balloon through a long tube. The people are directed to stand back. Captain Jovis and the entire passengers are getting ready to take a flight. Lieutenant Mallet jumps in to the basket attached to the balloon. He is climbing up to the aerial net, out there. that covers the huge balloon. I suppose he is going to remain in the aerial net. He may be responsible of the look out. The entire crew is getting into the basket. We can see them discussing something. I think the balloon cannot afford the weight of the whole crew, so M. Eyries had got out. That’s sad! He had a big loss of a remarkable ride! M. Joliet has cut the rope. Look! Le Horla is flying up, up, up and up! It's taking a flight like a bird! It leaps! What a terrific view! People are screaming with joy and excitement! Everyone's eyes are t. The balloon looks remind you of a huge marquee from here! I am sure it would be an incredible journey! So, let's all wish them all luck and pray for their safe landing.
