Gorakhpur, 5th February: A lot of poor people have been found roaming around to fetch some water. This has happened in the village in Gorakhpur, where the ground water level has shrunk so low that people are not getting water since days.
Due to lack of water, a famine is expected to occur soon where the people will perish. The wells and tube wells are all empty and there is no water flow from the taps. It is a very dire situation over there.
The people who reside there are roaming about in search of water. Many villagers are travelling longer distances just to quench their thirst. If this continues, most people will die soon.
