Draft a speech that you would give at your school assembly convincing junior students that the secret of true happiness lies in giving and sharing more than in receiving and taking.

NOTE: MAKE SURE TO ADDRESS YOURSELF AND OTHERS PRESENT THERE. CONCLUDE YOUR SPEAK BY SAYING THE TOPIC AGAIN.

Respected Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers and my dear fellow Friends, a very warm Good Morning to one and all present here! May i introduce myself to you, I am Rohit of class XII, I am here to speak about the topic "Happiness lies in giving and sharing more than in receiving and taking"

It is through experience I have learned that " As you give , so you live ". There was a time in my life when I only wanted things. I was happy only when I received gifts. My main goal in life was to take as many things from others as I could.  But , yes ! One day , while I was going to market, I saw a poor hungry beggar running along the road. He had a loaf of bread in his hand. He went to his mother and sat next to her. This touched me deeply that this boy who must have been hungry himself , found greater joy in feeding his famished mother.  From that moment onwards, I realized and started giving things to others. If I had 2 pens and someone wanted one , I would give it to him / her. I asked my mother to give a old shirt to child living in slums.  During my birthday, instead of having a party , I went along with my mother to an orphanage and fed a line of needy people. Giving things to others brings me great joy and happiness.  Receiving something gives temporary satisfaction. But reaching out to others and seeing a smile on their face is more precious than any other thing.

I conclude my words by saying that "Happiness lies in giving and sharing more than in receiving and taking."

Thank you !
