• Joshi's present age = x

Given :

• Dravid is 3 time as old as Joshi

• After 3years ,Dravid will be twice as old as Joshi

Solution :

Dravid's present age = 3×(x) = 3x

Age of Joshi after 3years = x+3

Age of Dravid after 3years = (3x+3)

given that , After 3years Dravid will be twice as old as Joshi

=> (3x+3) = 2(x+3)

=> 3x + 3 = 2x + 6

=> 3x-2x = 6-3

=> x = 3

=> Joshi's present age = 3years

=> Dravid's present age= 3x

=> Dravid's present age = 3(3)

=> Dravid's present age = 9 years

ANSWER :

• Joshi's present age = 3 years
• Dravid's present age = 9 years
