Step-by-step explanation:

1. Draw a line segment AB= 4 cm

2. Taking A as center and radius more than ½ AB(i.e, cm)

draw an arc say it intrest AB at E.

3. Taking E as centre and with the same radius has above draw a arc say it intersect previous arc at F.

4. Again, taking F as centre and with same radious as above draw an arc which intercest previous are (obtain in step 2) at G.

5. Taking G and F are centres, draw arcs with intersect each other at H.

6. Join at AH. Thus, AX is perpendicular to AB ro A. Similarly, draw by perpendicular at B now, we know that if two lines are parallel, then the angle between then will be 0° or 180°

Here, angle XAB= 90° [because XA perpendicular AB]

and angle YAB= 90° [because YB perpendicular AB]

Therefore, angle XAB + angle YBA = 90° + 90° = 180°

So, the lines XA and YB are parallel. [since, of interior angle on same side of transversal if 180° then the two lines are parallel.

Hope it is useful to you
