Iswaran was a simpleton with a mighty imagination. His adventurous stories would amuse and comfort Mahendra. But Iswaran, and his stories represent the blurred edges between fact and fiction. Iswaran loved to exaggerate and was as resourceful in his stories as he was in real life.narrations were influenced from those styles. He had to give up his job due to a practical joke played on Mahendra, his master. Life was not possible for Mahendra without him, as he was his asset, and he started living totally isolated.
