Plastics and pesticides in the environment can cause adverse effects and destroy the environmental resources to a huge extent.

Effect of pesticides - Pesticides are used in farms and agriculture to prevent the invasion of pests from destroying the plants and crops. However, they could have adverse effects. Most of these pesticides seep into the soils and enter the groundwater and pollute it, which is consumed by humans and animals. Also, using pesticide sprays could pollute the air. The fungicides and other pesticides can cause infections in humans like skin infections, rashes, irritation to eyes and skin, sneezing, coughing, etc. and in severe contamination, it can contain carcinogens and cause serious diseases like cancer, etc.

Effects of Plastic - Plastics are non-degradable substances that litter the environment and cause serious issues of trash garbage and pollution in the environment, including the cities, seas, oceans, etc. They are known to cause a lot of health issues to humans, animals, and marine animals. When plastic is burned or left to decompose in the open, they release toxic chemicals into the atmosphere, which when inhaled can cause respiratory issues and can cause serious health issues. Since the plastics are very stable and non-degradable, they fill up the landfills and do not get decomposed. Also, using cheap plastic containers for domestic purposes can be harmful sometimes especially when hot foods and liquids are put in them. This causes the release of toxic and poisonous chemicals from the plastics into the food, which when consumed by humans can cause serious health issues.
