Normally diameter is nothing but twice the given radius.

Diameter Measurement

We have to use compass and mesaure 3 cm in the compass.

Fix a point O, in that keep the compass and draw a circle by moving the paper clockwise, so that we will get a circle of 3 cm.

So the distance between point O and any point (A) in the circumference of the circle is 3 cm and it is nothing but the radius.

Now we can find out the diameter as,

D = 2r

D = 2* 3\\   = 6 cm

So Diameter was found as 6 cm.
