Answer:

Draw a circle of radius 3cm and center O

Take a point P on the circle

Make an angle of 140

o

with the line OP and vertex O and join OQ

Draw perpendiculars to OP and OQ with vertices P and Q respectively

These perpendiculars meet at point T such that ∠PTQ=40

o

∠OPT=∠OQT=90

o

∠PTQ+∠POQ=180

o

∠POQ=180−40=140

o

Solution

Draw a circle of radius R = 3.5 cm

Take a point P on the circle and Mark a chord of length

<2r and join PQ and also join P and Q with centre O

Take any point S on the major sector and join S and P and Q

Taking OP and OQ as base, draw perpendicular from P and Q respectively.

These perpendiculars meet at T

From measurement it is observed the <poq =2<psq
