Draw a circle of diameter 7.2 cm. Take a point M at a distance equal to its diameter from the centre. Draw tangents from point M.

Dude its very easy...just follow my steps...

  1. Draw a line connecting the point M to the center of the circle O.
  2. Construct the perpendicular bisector of that line OM (orange line).
  3. Place the compass on the midpoint, adjust its length to reach the end point (i.e. half of length of OM) and draw 2 arcs across the circle to get T and T'.
  4. Where the arc crosses the circle will be the tangent points (green lines).
