1) Draw a Circle of diameter 7 cm, i.e., radius 3.5 cm, with centre O

2) Take a point M away from the circle, such that OM = 9cm

3) Draw the Perpendicular Bisector of OM, which is intersecting OM at P

4) With P as the centre and OP as the radius, draw two arcs, cutting the circle at Q and R

5) Join MQ and MR

6) By measurement, MQ = MR = 8.4 cm (approx.)
