Draw a circle of radius 3 cm mark a point P on the circle. Draw tangent to the circle through point P using the centre of the circle.

Given :   Radius of circle  = 3 cm  &  and point P on circle

To find : Draw Circle  & tangent at point P

Solution:

Step 1 :  Take a point O

Step 2  :   Using compass width = 3cm and taking O as center , draw a circle

Step 3 : Mark a point P on circumference of circle

Step 4 : join OP  with a straight line

Step 5 : Draw an angle of 90 deg at P on OP using Setsquare/protractor or compass

angle drawn is tangent to circle
