To Construct: A circle of radius 4.2cm and a pair of tangents inclined to each other at an angle of 45°.

Steps of Construction:

1. Draw a circle of radius ( AO) = 4.2cm with centre O.

2. Draw diameter AOB.

3. Construct angle 45° with OB as base and extend the line to meet the circle at C, such that ∠BOC = 45°

4. Construct perpendicular from A and B such that the tangents meet at   D.

Thus, AD and BD are the required tangents inclined at 45°.
