Step 2 : Using compass taking length = 4 cm and O as center draw a circle

Step 3 : take any point P at 8 cm away from Center O

Step 4 : Join OP

Let say PQ & PR are tangents to be drawn

OQ = OR = Radius

Tangent => 90 deg

OP = 8 cm

=> Cos ∠POQ = Cos∠POR  =  OQ/OP = OR/OP  = 4/8  = 1/2

=> ∠POQ = ∠POR = 60°

Step 5 :Draw angle of 60 deg at PO at point O both sides

Step 6 :  extend it till it touches circles at point Q & R

Step 7 : Join PQ & PR

PQ & PR are required Tangents
