Draw a circle of radius 6 cm.Draw its diameter and name it AB. Using compasses and ruler,construct the perpendicular bisector of AB.

Answer:

1 open compass of 6cm

2 Take center as o at any point and rotate compass to form circle

3 Draw line AB passing from center o to ends of cicle

4 AB =12 and is diameter of circle

5 Now open compass more than 6 cm

6 Taking B as center cut an arc up and down

7 Now taking A as center similarly cut an arc both up and down intrsecting arc s if B

8 Now draw a straight line passing through both the points where arc intersect

This will form perpendicular biscetor of diameter AB
