Answer:

r=6 cm,d=10 cm,t=?

Tangent PQ=PR=8 cm

Steps of Construction:

1. A circle with radius 6 cm is drawn taking O

as center

2. Point P is marked at 10 cm apart from center of circle.

3. With the half of compass mark M which is the mid-point of OP.

4. A circle is drawn at M taking radius MO or MP which intersect the given circle at Q and R.

5. Now join PQ=PR=8 cm.

1. Take any point O of the given plane as centre , draw a circle of radiys 6 cm. Locate a point P ,10 cm away from O . Join OP

2. Bisect OP . Let M be the mid-point of OP.

3. Take M as centre and MO as radius , draw a circle.

4. Let this circle intersect the previous circle at point A and B.

5. Join PA and PB . PA and PB are the required tangents.

6. The length of PA and PB are 8cm each.

I hope it helps u dear friend !!^_^
