Draw a circle of radius 6cm. Take a point p 10cm away from the centre contract tanget to the circle how many such tangent are possible? Measure the length of each tangent

Note that at the point where tangent touch the circle the angle between radius and the tangent = 90°

So we get a right triangle

Using pythagoras theorem.
