Circle with minor arc AXB and the major arc AYB of the circle

Step-by-step explanation:

given data

circle center point = O

radius = 4 cm

solution

step (1)  Take a point O

step (2)  now using ruler to set distance from point of compass to the pencil lead at 4 cm

step (3) now draw circle by turning the compass through 360°

step (4) now draw a a chord AB of circle

step (5) now we indicate point X upper side and Y lower side

we get here minor arc AXB and the major arc AYB of the circle

as here length of arc is more than length of semicircle so major arc is AYB
