Now draw a chord PQ of the circle .

Take P as centre ,using compass draw an arc with radius more than the half of the length of PQ

Take Q as centre , draw an arc which cut the previous arc with same radius

Now, plot A andB at the intersecting point of the arc .

Step2:

Join the point A and B .

Here we see that the line AB cut  the chord  PQ

Therefore AB is the perpendicular bisector of PQ and also the perpendicular bisector AB passes through the centre O of the circle .
