In the first story, the young seagull lacked faith; as a result he could not jump from the ledge. However, when his mother made him jump, he developed faith and learnt flying.

In the second story, the pilot of the Dakota plane took the risk of flying through the stormy clouds. He had immense faith in God’s goodness. This faith worked a miracle for him. Inside the storm, when all his navigation instruments had failed, he was guided out of the storm by a black aeroplane, which the air-traffic control officer had not seen on the radar.

In both the stories, we learn faith is a miracle working force.

Answer:

Explanation:

The main theme of both the stories is that one learns by taking courage and not sitting idle.

In the 1st story, the young seagull overcomes his fear with the help of his mother. the risk was taken, or else he would have never learnt to be independent and might have starved to death.

In the 2nd story, the author takes the risk to fly through the storm clouds as he didn't want to miss his breakfast and paris was 150 kilometers behind and also he couldn't go above or around the clouds as he had less fuel.

thus, one succedes by   taking risk [gathering courage and make bold decisions] and not by giving up / accepting loss.
