1. Largest Gland

The largest gland is the gland named Liver. Its weight is about 1.2 to 1.5 kg. This gland is located in the cavity of abdomen. Liver has two lobes.

2. Gland that secretes enzymes and hormones

The gland named pancreas performs the function of secreting enzymes and hormones that are required in the digestion process.

3. Part where HCl is produced

HCl is produced in the organ named stomach. It is secreted by the oxyntic or the parietal cells.

4. Part where digested food is absorbed

It is absorbed in the regions of jejunum and ileum of the small intestine.
