Oesophagus
It is a long tube like structure through which food passes from our mouth to the stomach. It does not have any kind of function or role in digestion. The cells of oesophagus undergoes a special movement called peristalsis through which the food passes through it.
Stomach
Stomach is an organ which is bag like in structure. Here, digestion of protein takes place and also HCl is secreted to convert the inactive enzyme responsible for breaking of proteins into active form.
