the digram is late metaphase and (a ) is aster

the following points are

  1. chromosome arrange at equated in one equatorial or metaphase plate.
  2. each centromere is joined by two chromosomal fibres one from each pole.
  3. centromere lies at equater while arms are directed towards the pole

the best phase to study the morphology of the chromosome is metaphase
