the digram is late metaphase and (a ) is aster
the following points are
- chromosome arrange at equated in one equatorial or metaphase plate.
- each centromere is joined by two chromosomal fibres one from each pole.
- centromere lies at equater while arms are directed towards the pole
the best phase to study the morphology of the chromosome is metaphase
