Firstly draw a line of 3 cm using a ruler and mark it as AB. Then measure a distance of 3cm in your compass and mark an arc from both A and B point in such a manner that arcs cut each other. The point where the arc is meeting or intersecting, mark it as C. Then join the C point to both A and B. Hence ur equilateral triangle is constructed.
