Drawing the figure when two circles intersect at a point and they have a common tangent.

Refer to the attached image.

  • We get a single intersecting point when two circles touch each other internally.
  • Now, join the two centers of the two circles and extend till it reaches the point of intersection.
  • Since this line is in actual the radius of both the circles in parts, then it is perpendicular to the common tangent.
  • Now, draw a 90° at the common point on this line using pencil compass and ruler and extend in both sides.
