Draw a graph from the following data . Draw tangents at x=2,4,6 and 8 . Find the slopes pf these tangents . Verify that the curve drawn is y=x^2 and the slope of tangent is tan Ф = dy/dx = 4x.

To find slope at any point , we have to draw a tangent at the point and extend the line to meet x-axis. Then we have to find tan Ф

Slope = tan Ф = dy/dx = d(2x²) / dx = 4x

where , x = x-coordinate of the point where slope is to be measured.
