2x - y - 4 =0
- y = - 2x + 4
now putting x=3 ,then-
-y = 2(3) + 4
-y = -6 +4
-y = - 2
or y=2
then see fig.
as u can see it, its a rectangle the
area of rect.
= 2(l+b)
=2(2+3)
=10 square unit
then,putting x= 5
-y = -2(5) + 4
-y= -10 + 4
-y = -6
y= 6
again it is a rectangle
therefor,
2(l+b)
2(5+6)
22 square unit
