Draw a graph of the line x-2y=3

From the graph find the coordinates of the point when

(i)x=-5

(ii)y=0

SUPPOSE.....

X=1, Y= ?
x-2y=3
1-2y= 3
-2y= 3-1
-2y=2
y=2/-2
y= -1

X=3, y=?
x-2y=3
3-2y=3
-2y=3-3
-2y=0
y= 0/-2
y=0

X= -5, y=?
x-2y=3
-5-2y=3
-2y =3+5
-2y= 8
y= 8/-2
y= -4

I think your answer is ( Y= 0).....
