Graph of Linear Equations

To Draw

A graph of equation x - y = 2

Steps to proceed

• Put value of x = 0 in the equation

and calculate value of y.

x - y = 2

Putting x = 0

0 - y = 2

y = -2

• Mark point obtained i.e. ( 0, -2 )

• Now put value of y = 0 in the equation and calculate value of x.

x - y = 2

x - 0 = 2

x = 2

• Mark point obtained i.e. ( 2, 0 )

• Now, draw a straight line passing through these two points with the help of a scale.

• Graph for equation x - y = 2 is ready.
